Supported links
What this tool reads, and what it deliberately does not.
These work
- A public video page, for example facebook.com/watch/?v=…
- A video on a profile or page, for example facebook.com/name/videos/…
- A public Reel, for example facebook.com/reel/…
These do not work
- Videos that Facebook restricts to signed-in users
- Videos in closed or secret groups
- Stories, photos and text posts — there is no video file in them
- Live streams that have not finished
Not promised
Facebook also produces shortened links when you share a video. The tool is built to follow them, but they could not be verified against a live example, so they are not advertised as supported. If one works for you, it works; if it does not, copy the full address of the video instead.
